Alexia Young
Ph. D, LMFT-A
Alexia sees clients via telehealth.
Alexia embodies the practices of marriage and family therapist’s approach to mental health from a systemic perspective with an awareness that there are multiple factors in society that influence our everyday lives. Alexia obtained her Bachelor's degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She obtained her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse University and is a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Counseling from Oval Bible College.
Alexia works with individuals, couples and families! She specializes in relational therapy, experiential therapy, religious trauma counseling, and other evidence-based models. With a holistic background in therapy and case management, she creates compassionate, solution-focused environments tailored to each client’s needs. Clients may choose a secular, evidence-based approach with no inclusion of religious practices or a Christian counseling perspective, and she integrates faith-based insights with postmodern models when desired.
“Therapy doesn’t have to be a scary place, but can be a place for healing, progress and growth! Let’s work!”
