Amanda Culp

LISW-CP

Amanda sees clients at the Greenville location.

Amanda has had a curiosity and passion for people since early in life. She was often fascinated to learn about how experiences and environments can impact people not only in the short-term, but in the long-term as well. She took her first psychology class in high school, which began her journey to transform her interest in human behavior into a career. She studied Human Development in college in 2015, followed by obtaining a masters degree in social work in 2017. She has worked with a variety of populations, including: HIV+, LGBTQIA+, substance use (outpatient and residential), pregnant and postpartum women, trauma, and elementary school-aged children.

Amanda believes that the relationship between the therapist and client, including trust, boundaries, clear expectations, and empathy (along with a good dose of humor!), is key to success in therapy. Amanda’s goal is to create a space of non-judgement for clients to come, explore their past, and to create a new future for themselves.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys an active lifestyle. She regularly spends her time running, doing yoga, hiking, riding her bicycle, and gardening. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones, being in nature, and exploring the great small businesses of the Greenville community.
