Ashley Atwood is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with Unmoored Counseling Collective. Prior to her role as a therapist, she served as a psychometrist, assisting in the assessment of children and adults for learning, attention, behavior, and emotional concerns. This work highlighted for her how valuable it is to know and understand the “why” and “how” behind it all. Therefore, psycho-education is heavily incorporated in sessions so clients can be informed and empowered.

Providing clients with an open, comfortable, and non-judgmental environment to heal and grow is her primary goal. Whether it be a child or a middle-aged adult, or somewhere in between, Ashley offers support, education, and a collaborative treatment approach to work toward their unique goals. She is also trained in the Safe and Sound Protocol, a music-based emotion regulation system.

Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clemson University in 2017 and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2022. She enjoys working with children as young as 3 years old through adulthood.

Outside of the office, you can find Ashley traveling, teaching dance, and exploring new Mexican restaurants with her husband, daughter, and their pup, Charley!
