Emily Flynn

LMFT

Emily sees clients at the Spartanburg location.

Emily Flynn believes the relationship between therapist and client is a sacred and safe space for making new insights into one's self and life, and she is honored to be a holding space for her client's most vulnerable emotions. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT, along with solution focused and narrative techniques, to help clients reach their goals, but always works to maintain strong rapport with her clients regardless of what technique is being used in the therapy room.

Emily is passionate about helping individuals achieve the best versions of themselves, and helping families improve communication, become stronger, and operate more cohesively. She believes in helping people notice their own resilience and strength and rewrite their stories to have more rational, positive beliefs about their lives and experiences.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Emily always notices relationships and considers the functioning of the family system, whether or not each member of that system is in the room. Emily has almost nine years of experience of school-based therapy with high school students, but is excited to see children and adults of all ages at Unmoored Counseling Collective.
