Emily Vakaryuk
Intern
Emily sees clients at the Spartanburg and Gaffney locations.
Emily Vakaryuk is a counseling intern in her final year of a graduate level Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. She previously worked in ministry and creative fields like design before feeling a deeper calling to walk alongside people in their healing journeys. Her own experiences with adoption, loss, and personal adversity have shaped her heart for helping others build lives of hope, resilience, and restoration.
Emily brings a deep curiosity, intuitive presence, and respect for each person’s unique story into her work. She approaches counseling with a holistic view of the person—mind, body, and story—and is especially interested in trauma, adoption, and family systems.
Outside of counseling, she enjoys exploring creative outlets, time with family, good food, and being outdoors with her husband and their two black labs.
