Garrett Paschal is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) at Unmoored Counseling. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Religion where he learned the importance of communication and discussing core values and beliefs with people who come from different backgrounds. He also graduated from Clemson University with a Master of Education/Education Specialist (M.Ed./Ed.S) in Counselor Education with an emphasis in clinical mental health counseling. In graduate school, Garrett began the process of integrating academic knowledge and his own personality into clinical skills.

He enjoys working with people who desire better connection to themselves, others, and the surrounding world. He sees all of his clients as human beings who are longing to have their deepest needs met. Garrett strongly believes that our struggles are the places where we learn what is important and find the path towards healing. His goal in therapy is to help clients see the intentions behind behaviors and develop a strong sense of self-compassion around the creative ways we survive in the world.  You can expect Garrett to stay present in the face suffering and attune to your thoughts, feelings, and sensations, while you learn the process of showing up for yourself in the same way.
