Kaitlyn completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology, and now is a Licensed Independent Social Worker–Clinical Practice (LISW-CP). Throughout her career, Kaitlyn has worked as an addiction counselor, a prevention specialist, and a child and family therapist within non-profit settings. In her role as a child and family therapist she found her true passion—helping children, families, and individuals impacted by significant trauma, attachment wounds, and emotional or behavioral challenges feel seen, heard, and understood.
Kaitlyn specializes in working with children of all ages, along with adolescents, teens, young adults, and families. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is working toward getting registered as a play therapist, with extensive experience utilizing evidence-based play therapy techniques.
Using somatic and holistic approaches, Kaitlyn is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their bodies after trauma and build a sense of safety from within. She strives to create a therapeutic environment that is collaborative, empathetic, and nonjudgmental.
