Lizbeth sees clients at the Spartanburg and Greenville locations.

 

Before graduating with her Master of Arts in Counseling Education from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, Lizbeth was impacted by time abroad. She discovered her passion for helping people from all backgrounds and beliefs. Before entering into private practice, Lizbeth gained experience as an assistant office manager, a counselor in a psychiatric residential treatment facility and worked in school-based counseling. Lizbeth was the lead therapist for a non-profit organization specializing in equine-assisted psychotherapy.

Throughout her career, Lizbeth has focused on mastering her skills and gaining experience with an ever-growing passion for working with individuals with trauma. In her early years, she was exposed to the tremendous impact of abuse on her clients and was determined to find a better way to help people process trauma. Since then, Lizbeth has become an expert in dissociation and other trauma-related symptom presentations. She believes working with those who have experienced extreme trauma is an honor.

As owner and founder of Unmoored, Lizbeth promotes a sense of community for providers. She aims to create an environment that is trauma-competent and polyvagal-informed in all aspects of treatment and supervision by creating a safe space that encourages connection.

Lizbeth has certifications in Polyvagal theory, Safe and Sound Protocol, Somatic Embodiment, Sensory Motor, and trauma-informed attachment.

Lizbeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, EMDR trained and Clinical Counseling Trauma Professional Level 2. She also a certified Safe and Sound Protocol Provider.

When she is not doing therapy, she enjoys spending time with her family, in the outdoors, and traveling.
