Selena Turnipseed, Licensed Therapist, Specializing in Trauma Therapy for Children, Adolescents, and Adults. As a dedicated therapist with 27 years of experience as a trauma- informed school counselor, I am passionate about helping individuals of all ages heal from the impact of traumatic experiences. I work with both children and adults who have faced various forms of trauma, including abuse, neglect, grief, and other life-altering events. I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can safely process their pain and move towards healing. I use Safe and Sound Protocol and polyvagal theory to help clients strengthen and retune their autonomic nervous system.

My goal is to build trust and create a supportive environment where they can feel empowered and regain a sense of safety. I also use evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic-based interventions, to address the psychological, emotional, and physical effects of trauma. Whether it’s childhood trauma resurfacing in adulthood or recent traumatic experiences, I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs, fostering resilience and personal growth. Healing from trauma is a journey, and I am here to walk alongside you or your child through every step of that process, helping you reconnect with your strengths and build a more hopeful future.

When Selena is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, two daughters, and pets.
